The Canal Street Line

Starting at the Cemeteries Terminal, the Canal Line goes down Canal Street to the river. There it turns left, onto the Riverfront Line, going down to the French Market Terminal. The return trip reverses this. Streetcars with the route sign "CITY PARK" turn onto N. Carrollton Avenue on the outbound trip, going to Beauregard Circle instead of the Cemeteries.

During peak hours, inbound streetcars may stop at the foot of Canal Street. Riders wishing to go all the way to the French Market at these times will have to transfer to a Riverfront streetcar.

Riders may transfer to any connecting bus line, as well as the St. Charles or Riverfront streetcars.
