Cars 2002 through 2024 have been constructed from scratch at Carrollton Station. The steel bodies and almost all of the parts were fabricated in the RTA shops. For the propulsion and controls, RTA teamed up with Brookville Equipment Company of Brookville, PA. BEC had not been in the mass transit business prior to working with RTA, but their work with the teams at Carrollton has led to other streetcar contracts. The trucks are controlled by Saminco Traction’s A300 controller.
